should I believe
should I forget
should I go on with the life I had.
Can you tell me
What am I to do?
I picked up the phone
and the emotions were hanging on
I spoke,
but I could not believe it was you.
You were the one I let go for
because of you I was becoming free
but since you went away I don't know
what to do
What am I to do?
When you left my heart ached
and my soul hurt with pain
I couldn't believe I opened up
couldn't believe how you picked me up
I felt the world on my shoulder
when you left
Now you say you are back
but I don't know
what to do
What am I to do?

because I want to cry

I'm lost and don't know why
I went through anger
and some pain
Went and sat out in the rain
so what am I to do
What should I do
with these emotions I have for you
